For Summer Camp 2008 we went to Camp Woodruff outside Blairsville, Georgia. It was an interesting camp with an enormous chow hall, and many of our scouts compared it to the camp’s rival camp, Camp Rainey Mountain. When we first showed up, it looked bleak, it was hot, and it was humid, but our guide, Jonathan showed us around, was completely awesome and checked on us all week. The food was great too.
Throughout the week, we learned many things. Most of us took the Radio Merit Badge, and passed it, and almost all of us took the Citizenship of the Universe and Duct tape Merit Badges as well. A couple of us went Whitewater Rafting while the rest of the troop went to the Horsemanship Merit Badge and passed. One of our Scouts, Jacob P., got the most badges our troop has gotten at summer camp in a very long time. Our scoutmaster was very impressed.
So, all in all, we had a very amazing and incredible summer. But go for yourself and see how much better it is through your own eyes!
